Hello, I am Loukia and I am a native Greek tutor. I currently live in Thessaloniki, Greece.
I have a BA degree in Greek Classics, Literature, and Linguistics with a specialization in Linguistics. This helped me to understand the foundation of the language and to be able to break it down in a clear and effective way. I also hold a MA in Special Education and Learning Difficulties which helped me to be able to assist students with learning disorders.
During the past 4 years, I tutor the Greek language to students from all over the world and it fascinates me every day to see the progress they are making.
Because every student is different and special to me I always take into consideration their interests, goals, learning pace, and teaching style before preparing a class. Having studied foreign languages myself I understand how difficult it can be to learn a new language. I am very friendly and patient and I use a variety of interactive materials that will help you develop the 4 main skills of language; reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Textbooks, videos, songs, comics, PDFs, short stories, games and a whiteboard to write down the new Vocabulary and Grammar are some of the tools we will use to help you learn in an enjoyable environment and achieve fluency as fast as possible.
And because practice makes perfect, we will be practicing speaking based on real-life dialogues that will help you improve your conversational skills and use the Greek language with confidence.
