Adverbs of Frequency in Chinese (汉语中常用的频率副词)

  • 从不(cóng bù) / Never:The subject has never done something at a time. For example, she never smokes.

  • 偶尔(Ǒu ěr)/ Occasionally: indicates that there has been, but the frequency is very low. For example, I don't really like drinking coffee, only occasionally.

  • 有时候(Yǒu shí hòu)/ Sometimes: Indicates that the frequency of doing something is normal. For example, I sometimes go shopping on weekends.
