Über Mich
I'm originally from the Netherlands and moved to Medellin, Colombia in 2013.
My background in pedagogy and my passion for traveling, other cultures, and languages is what makes me excited every day to teach. I've taught English, Spanish, and Dutch both to groups and individuals, to children and to adults.
I know what it is to learn a new language and I will make sure you get a positive learning experience. For me, learning a new language is all about practice, practice, and more practice. That's my teaching approach: explaining the new theory, followed by lots of verbal exercises, allowing you to make mistakes and after every lesson feeling the excitement of getting more and more confident in the new language.
In 2015 I founded a Spanish language school for foreigners in Medellin. I developed a teaching approach and curriculum that was different, interactive and focused on the spoken language, which has been a great success. We've taught Spanish classes to thousands of students in the past years.
Everybody is welcome in my classes: beginners, intermediate, advanced, or those who only want to practice. I adapt my teaching style to your needs as a language learner and do my best to make learning as fun as possible.
