Hi, my name's Dale. I'm here to help you on your journey towards speaking excellent English.
I enjoy cooking, reading, practising yoga, travelling, and learning about other cultures.
At the beginning of 2015, I decided to start learning Spanish. Instantly I was hooked on the process of learning a new language and experimenting with all the different methods and tools that exist for language students. During this time, I also became more passionate about my Native language: English, and I started to help out at an informal English group held weekly by 5 or 6 non-native English speakers from my workplace. I then decided to take a TEFL qualification and take my teaching a little further...
I'm patient and easy going, and I like to create a relaxed and friendly environment when giving lessons, in my experience, this helps to build student's confidence and leads to better results.
I offer conversational classes; this is an excellent way to discover weaknesses in your English that we can focus on in future sessions. I also give grammar based lessons where you'll be working through various exercises, texts, or quizzes.
Each time we meet, I'll be sharing new vocabulary, phrases, Idioms, phrasal verbs and other useful bits of information with you.
My approach towards lesson planning is flexible and will vary depending on your needs. When you take a trial with me, we'll have an informal chat, and I'll ask you questions that will help me decide how I can help you reach your goals. After that, I can start planning lessons for the next time we meet.
