Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you. I am Ingrid, a Spanish teacher with a postgraduate specialization in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I have extensive experience as a Spanish language professional, first as editorial assistant (Mexico, 2011-2014) and later on as a Spanish Teacher at all levels: from A1 to C2 (Peru and Ecuador, 2015-2019). I have worked with people from all over the world and a wide range of profiles: children, teenagers, housewives, teachers, executives, volunteers, and travelers.
My lessons are based mainly on the communicative approach where you are the center of the action and I am your guide in this wonderful journey that is the discovery of the Spanish-speaking world. I will always be willing to create new materials and activities designed especially for you.
I explain grammar with the congnitive theory in mind; in this way, instead of learning a set of fixed rules you get to really understad the meaning, different uses, and vast possibilities of the gramatical structures through a pragmatic point of view. I particularly love to explain difficult topics such as pronouns, past tenses, the different types of SE, and the indicative vs subjunctive. Besides, I am more than ready to help you to prepare your certification exam (DELE or SIELE).
During the time we will share, you will not only find lessons tailored to you by a professional, but also an approach to the Spanish-American culture from a fairly broad and enriching perspective. In addition to my solid knowledge of the Spanish language and the methods of teaching foreign languages, in my classes I use my academic and professional knowledge and skills as historian, social anthropologist and editorial assistant; and, of course, the equally useful life experiences as an expatriate: first in South America and now in Italy, as well as student of foreign languages (English, Italian, German and French).
¡Hasta pronto!
