À propos de moi
I’m Fabiola Barahona, a Costa Rican Spanish teacher for 13 years who loves languages. I have a Masters degree in Education, with an emphasis on Spanish as a second language, and I'm also a certified professor with DELE.
Besides my first language (Spanish), I speak English, Italian, Portuguese and I have studied German at a basic level. I enjoy being a teacher and a student at the same time because learning is a never ending process.
I was born in San José, Costa Rica and I have traveled to Mexico several times, to Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras and Panamá. I love Latin America and I want to share our great cultural wealth with you. Currently, I live in Mexico.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Radio and TV Production (Universidad de Costa Rica). And also I have a Master’s Degree in Education, with an emphasis in the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language (Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica).
I like to listen to my students. Students have described me as a patient teacher, someone who smiles when is teaching. And this is because I love what I do.
I want my students to improve their Spanish, to learn new facts about Latin America, to decide to come if they have never been here. To motivate them to travel and practice Spanish where they want to go.
