You use the article “LO” + “a singular masculine adjective”, to talk about a general quality of something or something in general. 

LO FACIL del español es…  🤓 (quality in general)
No me gusta LO DULCE 🤢 (something in general)
LO MÁS TRAGICO fue ese accidente🤕 (something in general)
