How to say " maa" in Thai sentence?

"(khun) pay nǎy maa" Have you ever heard this sentence?

This sentence is a question sentence. Thai people always say this after we say "sawàtdii"
pay means " to go" maa means " to come"

maa is also a helping verb when it is placed after a verb.
maa refers to the situation or something that happened and finished already in the past.

EX. Question : sawàtdii khâ, khun Nina pay nǎy maa khá
Hello! Miss Nina, Where did you go?

Answer : chán pay kin khâaw maa khâ
I went to eat rice.
This means "Subject went out and finished doing the action

Structure Q: Subject pay nǎy maa
A: Subject pay + do something + maa
