The Italian modal verbs
6年前VOLERE (want), POTERE (can / be able to) and DOVERE (must / have to) are called "verbi servili" or "verbi modali" (modal verbs).
We use them with another verb in the infinitive form.
For example:
🇮🇹 Non voglio studiare.
🇬🇧🇺🇸 I don't want to study.
🇮🇹 Posso entrare?
🇬🇧🇺🇸 Can I come in?
🇮🇹 Devi mangiare.
🇬🇧🇺🇸 You have to eat.
