Hi, students! I’m Guilherme, a native European Portuguese tutor from Lisbon with 10 years of teaching experience, and I’m here to help you learn Portuguese in the most enjoyable way possible.
Although I’m new to this platform, I’ve already taught thousands of lessons both online and offline.
I’m fluent in English at a native level, having been exposed to it since childhood, so communication won’t be an issue.
I’ve worked with students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners, including children, using creative methods like games and music. My teaching approach is all about thinking outside the box. I understand that traditional memorization methods often fall short—it’s when we’re having fun and engaging with the material that learning really sticks. Personally, I learned English effortlessly through activities like chatting with foreigners, watching American cartoons, and playing video games, and I bring that same energy to my teaching.
My goal is to help you overcome any fear of making mistakes because mistakes are a natural and essential part of learning. Many of my students who used to feel stuck or overly self-conscious now speak with confidence and ease.
European Portuguese is a fascinating language that opens doors to communication not only with people in Portugal and Brazil but also with Spanish speakers due to its similarities.
