I used to want to be a pilot

I used to want to be a pilot, but now I'd rather be a teacher!


We use USED TO to describe something that was true in the past, but now it isn't true any longer.


In the example above, "I used to want to be a pilot" means that in the past, this was true. I did want to be a pilot was I was growing up. But now, I don't want to be a pilot anymore. Now it is not true.


Using USED TO & USE TO are tricky for some people, so I have created this tutorial to help you learn and use them correctly.
