are you agree with the guy that said you don´t have to talk very much to learn a new laguage?

It's quite worrying for me. Actually I think is a big miskate his  approach. it´s not only this one  recommendation, all of them are: don´t write, don´t speak, don´t read. 

I think is very usefull reading and writting, further than brains could understand better how to think in another language. 

What do you think? are you agree with him?
