Gerund: a word ending in -ing, made from a verb but used as a noun.

How to use it:

Adjective + Preposition + Gerund
interested in knowing
I would be really interested in knowing what you think.

Verb + Preposition + Gerund
keep on talking
He kept on talking so fast that no one understood what he was saying.

Noun + Preposition + Gerund
experience of seeing
His first experience of seeing seriously injured patients was quite shocking.

EXAMPLES:
Jerry is good at seeing how much change the organization can assimilate.
Dawn enjoyed the challenge of managing different groups of staff.
What appalled me was my first experience of seeing the patient areas in that hospital.
Mr. Sullivan kept on talking too fast, as usual.
Many consumers buy it as a result of seeing that promotion online.
We will focus on bringing our products into new markets.
