I have been an educator for more than 20 years with various disciplines as well as age and ethnic groups. I am TEFL certified I was a vocal teacher to some of the top artists in South Africa. As a vocal trainer, a tremendous emphasis is placed on pronunciation. Without the correct pronunciation of vowels and consonants, the vocalist cannot effectively control their voices. I am also an award winning songwriter and for years taught people to compose. With songwriting, the main focus is the English language at an advanced level. My name is Karen and I live in South Africa. I am a native English speaker and I've been in the teaching field for the last 22 years. I am a qualified Tesol English teacher. I also qualified in a Teylt course which is a course for teaching young learners and teenagers. I previously had my own business where I ran a development programme at pre-schools, assisting 2 to 5 year-olds to be school ready.
