About Me
Hello,
I'm a CELTA qualified teacher with a degree in English Literature. Prior to gaining my English teaching/degree qualifications I worked as a qualified nurse specialising in Paediatric nursing. My English language teaching experience has been within two UK Further Education Colleges, and working privately with one-to-one students. I have assisted students in passing ESOL examinations, with general English and more specialist areas related to their specific jobs. One of my specialist teaching areas is coaching students to pass the OET exams. I am happy teaching students of all ages and ability.
My approach to teaching is to place the language in a context that is meaningful to the student and I tend to use a variety of teaching materials. Ultimately, as a language learner myself I am all to aware that students learn best when they are enjoying themselves; it is therefore important that our lessons are fun!
I will work with you to design lessons that match your goals and time limits.
