About Me
Hello everyone, my name is Tien. My hometown is Ben Tre, a small city in the South of Vietnam. I am currently working and living in Ho Chi Minh City. In the past, I used to work in tourism with many different positions, such as tour guide & Airbnb host. Therefore, I love to share with foreign friends about Vietnamese culture and history.
Later, I found out that I have a huge passion for language and teaching language. That’s why I changed my career to be a Vietnamese teacher. I hope to make my students fall in love with Vietnamese and feel motivated during the learning time.
I attended several courses in teaching language and teaching Vietnamese for foreigners (online & offline). Therefore, I have a good knowledge of teaching methods. I will make sure that the student understands the lesson the most before moving to the next one. Moreover, making the student feel comfortable and confident in such an interesting class is my priority.
I teach Vietnamese with the southern accent. My teaching style and the lessons will be adjusted for each student. Video, image, story, song, and more materials are applied to keep the class interesting and fun. Practice is the top priority in my class because practice makes perfect.
Many different kinds of exercises (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and speaking) are also applied to help the student gain different skills in learning Vietnamese.
