Hello. I am from Yokohama. I am a qualified and native Japanese teacher. I am interested in languages and I studied linguistics at my university in London. I had been working as a speech therapist for 10 years in Japan. I like to meet new people and teach Japanese. In my free time, I like to go to a cafe or park with friends. I’m from Yokohama, one of the biggest cities in Japan, located on Tokyo Bay just South of Tokyo, so I speak and teach Tokyo dialect, also known as standard dialect. My major was English language and literature and I did my graduate thesis on intercultural communications. I also took ESL courses with several different professors over the years so I understand how hard it is to study different languages and I know what works. My methodology on language learning is a combination of immersive and traditional learning.
