It's coral spawning season in the Great Barrier Reef!

2 年前

Four years after being planted on the Great Barrier Reef, corals grown in Australia's first offshore coral nursery have spawned for the first time. The Reef Restoration Foundation grew these corals to help rebuild degraded parts of the reef.

What is coral spawning?
Spawning is the release of thousands of eggs and sperm so new corals can be created. This usually happens in October and November after a full moon.
