Why did you become a language teacher?

This is a question I get asked on a very regular basis and when I never say "I always wanted to be a teacher.." people are shocked. I became a teacher only after I realised how rewarding and fulfilling tutoring is first hand almost five years ago! 

Would love to hear from others, not looking for a detailed explanation just a sentence a two.
