Hello. I'm Franco Diaz Pereyra and I work as an English teacher. I graduated in 2017 with a bachelors degree in ESL teaching at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNC), which is a prestigious university in Mendoza, my hometown. I have been giving in-person and online clases for almost six years. In 2019, I got a position at Universidad de Congreso (UC) to teach Business English and in 2020, I started working remotely for a Costa Rican Academy called VLA. I've also worked at some gas and oil companies and wineries providing training to managers and team leaders. Nowadays, I specialize in Business English, and I am currently working online as a freelance for institutes in Buenos Aires and Costa Rica and teaching at UC and some public schools. I love studying and taking courses to improve my teaching style. I'm passionate about literature that's why I took a course of American Literary Spaces by Ph. Marcela Raggio and a course of Learning Based on Projects at UNC in 2021. As regards my teaching style, I always try to conduct a needs analysis to decide on the best approach for students. A task-based approach is one of my preferred styles since I can give students the language tools to meet their objectives and turn the learning process into a meaningful and relevant experience. I'm keen on using virtual tools and game-making apps to make classes more appealing, and I always try to reduce "teacher talk" to foster students' communication and speaking skills.
