While in the Turkish tense, for the past tense, you would need only the appropriate suffix, in Serbian language it is not enough, you would also need the verb „to be“. Let’s see together how it works:
P.pronoun + Verb to be + Ending
Ja Sam O – masculine singular
Ti Si La – feminine singular
On,ona, ono Je Lo – neutral singular
Mi Smo Li – general plural
Vi, vi Ste Le – feminine plural
Oni,one, ona Su La – neutral plural
Gledati – to watch, izlemek
P.pronoun Verb to be Ending
Ja Sam gledao
Ti Si gledala
On,ona,ono Je gledalo
Mi Smo gledali
Vi, vi Ste gledale
Oni,one,ona Su gledala
