Hi! My name is Martina and I am from Valencia (Spain). I lived in Mainz and Berlin (Germany) for two years and right now I'm living in Belgrade (Serbia). I hold BA in Philosophy and MA in Bioethics and both reflect hugely on ways I understand and interpret the world around me, besides that in more formal way – part of my academic curriculum was CAP (pedagogical aptitude) which certifies me to be a teacher.
I have been teaching different subjects (not only Spanish for foreigners) for more than 8 years now and I taught almost all demographic groups. Teaching is my passion and I learn and strive to be better in it every day. My students are my teachers and I learn from them (and will from you in near future), each individual has been a great gift. By interacting through teaching-learning experience we are becoming part of each other’s experiences. I'm Daniela, I'm from Colombia, and I'm a qualified Spanish teacher. I really love languages and teaching, and I have been teaching for years.
For me, the most important thing is to provide classes where students feel they are improving and also, that they enjoy the hole process of learning a new language; For this, I always take into a count the student's needs and interests while giving them the oportunity of learning through the strategies they prefer, as music, games, literature, among others. Also, I know it is important to give them a contextualization, for example with local expressions and information about cultural aspects.

I've already tried, I'm not good at languages, I don't have time, Spanish is too difficult, etc.

Beyond studies and experience (which you can read below), what makes a good language teacher? I have no doubts: enthusiasm, empathy, patience and sense of humor. Without these four attributes, any robot could be a better teacher than me, am I right?
I studied a master's degree at University of Barcelona in 2013 and another course at International House in 2014 to specialize as a teacher of Spanish as a second language.
My passion for teaching hasn't done anything else but increasing. I love helping people all over the world to learn the language and to understand my culture. But, above all, both the students and me have fun during the lesson. Learning a language is impossible if you don't feel at ease and happy. Laughing is our most valuable tool to learn.
