When speaking to others in English, a person doesn't have to learn to speak every kind of English that he or she has heard others use. For example, would you have to learn how to pronounce the word "car" in the same way it is pronounced by people who live in Boston or New York, which is pronounced "cah"? Or would you simply need to learn the most general, proper, and accepted pronunciation, "car" and be understood by any and everyone, no matter where they live in the United States or the world?
Simply put, just learn one simple, clear, and correct way to say "car" and forget about the stress of having to learn all the different dialects of English! Everyone will understand your one way of saying "car" or any other single English word you speak!
