Lesson Activities and Study Tips
Hello!
If you are reading this then you probably want to develop your spoken English or to get some ideas on how to study in your own time! I will list some activities I like to carry out with my students...
Question time:
Each lesson I will ask you stimulating questions to encourage you to talk about a wide range of topics using different tenses. This is a nice resource:

To use it as a homework task simply write out an answer to the questions and read it out to me in the lesson so that you can practice pronunciation and we can correct it together. I encourage students to correct themselves instead of giving them the correction; thinking about the grammar and discovering an answer for yourself is more useful than being told the correct word.
Broaden your vocabulary:
1) Start writing down new words, phrases and grammatical structures that you come across. I will also send you small articles to read on subjects which interest you for you to discover new language
2) I will ask you to send me a list of these new words, sentences and grammatical structures or to discuss them with me in the next lesson so that we can practice them together. I will ask you to use them in different tense as well. Spending time talking about new language is more effective than just reading it :)
Study specific grammatical points:
During our conversations I will make a note of any grammatical points you could develop and provide you with some activities to work on in your own time. I will encourage you to practice using them in the next lesson. We will revisit the grammatical points often to make sure that you are using them!
Some examples of the grammar tasks I give are:
-The different between thought, though and through
-'Ed' verbs
-Phrasal verbs
I like to ask students to create their own sentences using these grammatical structures using different tenses.
Good luck with your studies and book in a lesson with me to get practicing :)
