What are techniques to use to easily learn a language faster?
There are perhaps countless techniques you can use. Which you choose depends on your personal preferences and current habits as well as what you want to achieve in learning that language.
Here are some general tips though to help you learn a language faster:
Understand first that the closer the language is to your mother tongue or another language you have learned, the easier it will be for you to learn it.
Focus on what is easiest first. The skills of speaking and listening are much easier to begin with than the skills of reading and writing.
Focus on input before output. You cannot use what you have never heard or read, so you must spend a lot of time with ‘input’ more specifically ‘comprehensive input +1’ look that up with ‘Stephen Krashen’ to find out more.
Create a feedback loop. You can’t know what you are getting wrong if you haven’t got anything to tell you. The easiest way to do this is to find a conversation partner or make everyone your conversation partner. When you see a blank look of their face or they give you an answer unrelated to your question, that’s your first feedback.
Finally, Download a copy of the CEFR and circle the A1 and A2 sections on speaking and listening! These can be your early targets in learning a language. With any luck, you can tick off A2 level in between 6 months and 1 year if the language is close to your first language.
Hope that helps!
