My name is Sanja, I'm from Dubrovnik, the most beautiful city in the world 🙂.
I've been teaching Croatian to adults, young adults, and teens on Verbling for almost 4 years... and I love it! I’m super friendly, cheerful, and easygoing. I aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable teaching environment, and I am easy to talk to! So don't worry if you are nervous or don't feel confident - I can help you with that.
I offer authentic, guided conversation lessons tailored to each student. I can help you with Croatian for work and school, travel, personal enrichment, pronunciation, and more.
I am also interested in innovative teaching styles using multimedia materials.

Sanja is an excellent teacher! I've now been learning from her for almost three months. Her English is good not only in her vocabulary and accurate usage, but she's really good at understanding the linguistics of English so she can better explain the linguistics of Croatian and the grammatical rules. Croatian is complicated, but Sanja does well to break it all down and make it understandable in a way that's digestible for the learner.
She's always very well prepared and organized with a thorough lesson plan each time and homework to assign. She's also very versatile and happy to go in the direction of the student's choosing and at the student's pace. When I'm on early before a lesson, she'll initiate the session 5, even 10 minutes early, and we often go over 5-10 minutes after the lesson, too. She's very generous with her time.
My wife grew up in Croatia, speaks it fluently, and is really happy with my progress. I definitely recommend booking lessons with her as a teacher!

Sanja is an amazing tutor. She is very helpful, kind and encouraging. Every lesson is really effective and it's nice to be able to notice some improvement in my Croatian skills. Gives a lots of homework, too :) She is a diamond teacher! Can't wait until our next lesson!

I love my lessons with my teacher. She does an excellent job each week. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to ensure that I understand the lesson being discussed. In just a few short weeks, I can already see an improvement in my language skills. She gives homework which is very much appreciated and helpful. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Croatian.
