10 Common and Funny French idioms: Will you be able to find their meanings?
"This guy speaks English like a Spanish cow". That sentence doesn't make any sense right? But in France, it means that someone is really bad at speaking English. Absurd right? Why do we need to compare ourselves to a Spanish cow to explain that we have a terrible English level?
As every other language French is full of expressions that make very little sense for a non native speaker at the beggining.
In this article, I thus decided to do a little game. I combined ten popular and funny french sayings and their meanings. Will you be able to find the different sayings' translations and meanings?

C) "To fall in the apples: to pass out
D) "To tell salads": Tell false stories and lies
E) "To put your feet in the dish": Start to talk about something that nobody wants to talk about
F) "To discover the roses pot": Discovering a hoax, a secret
G) "To give one tongue to the cat": Giving up to find the answer to a question
H) To give a sword stricke in the water: do something for nothing
I) To get roll in the flour: It means that you got fooled by someone
J) To break someone's feet: To annoy, to irritate someone
