I have taught English as a second language to African foreign national students of all ages for the past two years at ABC International South Africa. I am a qualified TEFL instructor and have completed courses in play based learning for grades R to 3. In the afternoon from Monday to Friday I am an English Second Language tutor to diplomatic officials at the Angolan Consulate located in Bruma Johannesburg, South Africa. I am currently on an ongoing community volunteer programme and the secretary of the board at a non- profit organisation for abused, neglected and unwanted babies.
I have gained the knowledge and experience of setting my own exams according to the material taught as well as managing small to large diverse groups of students that come from different backgrounds/religions/ethnicities/genders and age groups. This experience has allowed me to identify the individual need in each student as well as adjust teaching methods when need be to make sure the students not only grasp the concept of speaking, writing and communicating using the English language however ensure the learning process is fun. Apart from teaching the English language I partake in parent infant psychotherapy programmes that promote healthy psychological and neurological development of children.
Having worked in different employment environments with diverse groups pf people I can easily adapt to new environments. I enjoy immersing myself in the language, lifestyle and traditions of other cultures.

Carey is perfect!!! I love your classes, I love your method. I looked for everywhere a teacher like Carey and now I found, it is a luck. Now I am super motivated and I started believe that is possible for me talking in english better. Thank you so much Carey, you are AMAZING!!!!
