Human nature within human difference
Human beings are a diverse bunch: we follow different belief systems, cultures and languages. And yet when we encounter each other online, we find much commonality between us. My theory for this phenomenon is that there is such a thing as human nature, in which all human beings participate. This is why when we communicate online, we are often able to get along well with one another. It appears to me that human nature is a more powerful force on the Internet than any cultural differences that human beings may have. Despite evidence of division within the human family, I am hopeful about the future of humanity: each one of us is a human and shares human nature with everyone else.
