Mi chiamo Rosalia e sono insegnante di lingua italiana. Ho da poco conseguito a pieni voti la laurea magistrale in Language, Society and Communication presso l’Università di Bologna. Le lingue da me studiate sono state inglese e russo.
Durante il mio percorso universitario ho avuto la possibilità e la fortuna di studiare in tre nazioni diverse:
- 6 mesi in Francia, presso l’università Sorbona di Parigi

I am Michela and I come from Rome. I am a professional and qualified language teacher with the following certifications: PGCE, QTS, NQT, DITALS II (advanced level) and ITALS II (advanced level).
I have been teaching Italian (as well as other languages) since 2011 to all levels and backgrounds. Teaching is my full time job and a great passion for me!
Besides teaching, I am also the CILS exam organiser at the school I work for, and a CILS exam tutor for the all the students who want to take these exams.
On Verbling, I offer only lessons to prepare for the CILS exams, all levels.

I keep the number of students low and build with them a friendly atmosphere, but in order to do so we have to vibe! Therefore I highly reccomend you to book a trial first and then decide if you could like my approach and continue with me.

I was preparing a lesson for a student of mine, when I found myself struggling with a translation. The word was “cavare”. «Pull out» I thought. But then… was there a better word? “Cavare”, in Italian, doesn’t only mean “to pull out”, that would be “estrarre”, “tirar fuori”, “rimuovere” or something else. “Cavare” has the word “cavità” (cavity) in it. “Cavare” means “to extract from a cavity”, “to remove and leave a cavity” and I couldn’t find a single word in English that suited the perfect meaning.
This happens to me all the time, as I speak three languages daily and I am a “word perfectionist”: I am fascinated by the meaning that every word can have, those little shades of significance that can only be understood by those who profoundly study a language.
And that is what I do: I study, all the time, to speak each of my three languages at its best, and I teach, to make my students learn properly the meaning of words and their best combination.
