The Art of Writing
It starts with talking as a form of thinking. It is the opportunity to explore your own ideas and that which you hear yourself say in conversation. It is a form of thinking, that expands us from deep within. It is the great avenue to enhance self-knowledge. It serves a Spiritual end. I would like to invite you to explore an avenue of expanding your sense of self-knowledge and ability to communicate with integrity from the heart.
I will include a few ideas to focus on as you approach the Art of Writing. I would love to be your mentor and guide as you walk this path of English Language Acquisition.
"The Art of Writing is the Art of Discovering what you believe".
Our words should state our exact thoughts. Be careful that no ambiguity lurks in your words. Cultivating a strong sense of self, is essential for cultivating your choice of words.
(a) We must have ideas to express.
(b) We must have propriety in the way we speak.
(c) We must arrange our words, our sentences, and our paragraphs in the right order.
The search for ideas on the given subject is our starting point. It is the exact location of where your writing will begin. It is the birthing place for ideas to be shared. Your introduction includes your main idea in the form of a topic statement. The formation of a plan includes a way for you to formulate these ideas to share with your readership. The filling-in of the selected plan is cultivating your diction.
Are you ready to start writing? Yes!
Here is a basic outline of your starting point...
- An Introduction which includes your main idea.
- Your Body which includes supporting ideas for your main idea to be discussed.
- And lastly, you Conclusion which includes a summary of your main idea and supporting ideas which were previously discussed.
