I have a B,A. in Biology and a M.A. in Math Education. I taught math, science and computers for 21 years at the junior high and high school levels and I taught computers to business students at the college level.. Once I retired, I began teaching English to students since I moved to Mexico and people were asking for help with their language skills. I am learning a new language so I understand the difficulties people face and that makes me a compassionate and caring teacher. I also have a great sense of humor.

Hi there! I'm Amanda!
Congratulations on starting/continuing your language journey in ESL or French! I would love to join you! Most recently, I was Assistant Professor of ESL/EAP at Santa Fe College and a PhD student at the University of Florida studying Second Language Acquisition (aka the best ways to learn languages)!!! Different, from the other individuals listed here, I am not a language teacher, I am a language COACH. It's time to learn a language like it's the 21st century! Let's work together to reach your goals!
What is a language coach?
As a language coach, I enable students to focus on their goals and hold them accountable for accomplishing them. I promote student agency and allow students to make choices about their own learning; this way each lesson fits their individual needs and differences. As your own language and success coach, we will not only work together to understand the target language vocabulary and grammar, but we will also delve into the metacognitiv...

Hi, my name is Randi,
I have a Master's in Education
Learning to speak a second language is very similar to learning to play an instrument. Practice is the key to success. Effective instruction should be relevant and meaningful to a student. I do my best to make each lesson relate to my students' interests, goals, and abilities.
I have many years of experience teaching English as a Second Language and I really enjoy working with students from so many different cultures and walks of life.

Welcome to the world of English language learning. I am Connie, an English teacher from New York. I have been teaching English online for over eighteen years to people all over the world. I am TEFL and TESOL certified to teach English through CIEE and I am an IELTS certified teacher.
I enjoy teaching because I genuinely like people. I read a quote once that said, "Do you know what a foreign accent is? It is courage." I strongly believe that the people I teach are courageous and determined to build and sharpen their skills in English. I respect them immensely.
I teach young children and older adults (like myself...lol). I teach people all over the world and at all levels. I believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion and we can discuss any topic you like.
I once taught a man in China who did not speak two words of English. He needed to build his skills quickly for his job. After nine months, he and I were discussing politics, society and current events. It is poss...

Hi, I'm Gregory and I want to help you improve your English! I have 10 years of full-time experience teaching English and earned a Master's degree in TESOL at City College of New York. I'm a native English speaker and have taught students of all ages, including adults, college students, and high school students. I'm a former New York City high school teacher and have also taught at ESL instutites and online as well. I've also held a NY Teacher's License and a NY Registered Business School Teacher's Certificate.
I know that learning a new language can be difficult; in fact, I've been a language learner myself! I earned a minor in Spanish while in college and also took two years of Koine Greek and a semester of French. I've studied abroad in Spain and have spent time living the Dominican Republic. That's why I always try to create a safe, positive environment for my students to learn, take risks, and have fun.
Fun is exactly what you'll have when you take my classes! I'm outgoing an...

My name is Bronwyn, but students and friends usually call me Bronnie, which I prefer as it seems friendlier.
I have taught English as an additional language to students of all ages and levels of proficiency from several regions around the world. I also happen to hold a high school teacher license here in the US.
Being an enthusiastic language learner myself, currently German, I have a sound understanding of the process of language learning and the patience it takes from both learner and teacher, alike. I love watching the students' confidence grow as they start to realize that the skill of speaking another language proficiently is within reach.
A variety of teaching techniques and teaching experience come with me to the classroom from my work with Berlitz, my training with The Berlin School of English, the TESOL corporation, and of course formal teacher preparation and theory and practical application as a licensed high school teacher. But most of all, I bring encouragement and en...

My name is Jeff and I teach conversation, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and SAT/ACT/SSAT/HSPT prep. From 1998 to April 2003, I lived in Taipei, Taiwan, teaching ESL and studyingMandarin. After leaving Taiwan, I moved on to Honolulu, where I again found employment as an ESL instructor. This stint was brief because of my desire to attend graduate school in San Francisco, where I studied Mandarin and began teaching test prep. For 16 years (2005-2021) I was the English Department Head at Elite Educational Institute, a test prep company. My duties included teaching the majority of the English classes and private lessons and training and managing all new instructors.
