About Me
I am Mary Omojo Idakwo a Nigerian a graduate of Electrical Engineering and Post graduate diploma in Education, born and brought up in Kaduna, one of the states in the North West Nigeria. I am a native Hausa teacher and transcriber. I am passionate about teaching and transmission of knowledge, it’s my hobby. My strengths are patience and empathy. I have over 10 years’ experience in teaching languages and other subject.
I always make lessons lively and interesting so as to make you learn and enjoy yourself while learning. My teaching methodology is very easy depending on the class of students coming down to their level of understanding whether you are new to the hausa language and a total beginner. I am here to work with you. I encourage you to free to make mistakes in your learning journey as am high to patiently correct you.
My lesson are highly tailored and designed to develop and improve your hausa language skills towards verbal fluency, listening skills, pronunciation and accent training, pronunciation and accent training, telephone communication skills, specific sector terminology, presentation and negotiation skills in hausa language.

My trial lessons
In my trial lesson is an opportunity for me to know the student , their learning goals and what they hope to achieve on from the subsequent lessons, we will have a lesson during the trail lessons for 20 minutes, an activity for 5minutes, conversations and questions for about 5minutes.

KATSINA STATE PRISONS AND SOME SECONDARY SCHOOLS - KATSINA STATE NIGERIA
I taught female inmates in Katsina state different skills such as cake making,bead making,bag making etc. I taught the inmates in hausa language because they couldn't understand English. I gave sentsitization lecture to students in many school on dangers of drug abuse,teenage pregnancy and its effect on the society.I was recognized for this service and given an award as a best corper during my service year.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICE
NIGER STATE ORPHANAGE/REMAND HOME - MINNA,NIGER STATE NIGERIA
Under Fellowship of Christian Students Evangelism Unit we were assigned to the Orphanage and Remand home of Niger State.We provided lessons for the kids and teenagers in English, while I helped in translating the lessons in hausa language so they can understand.

Mary is a great teacher and helps me very much with my pronunciation and spelling. We have covered lots of helpful topics so I will be able to talk about lots of different things in Hausa. I would definitely recommend her lessons.
