Bonjour !
I'm Charles, a passionate French teacher with six years of experience, including extensive work on online platforms. I spent three years teaching at the Alliance Française in Aguascalientes, Mexico. I'm also a certified examiner for DELF, DALF, and TCF exams, and I've successfully helped students of all ages to prepare for these exams.
I believe in creating a fun and supportive learning environment where each student feels comfortable and motivated. My teaching style is interactive and engaging, based on Alliance Française methods, meaning that you'll have organized lessons, exams if you want to, using multimedia resources and real-life scenarios to make learning French both enjoyable and practical.
Outside of teaching, I'm a sports enthusiast, a movie buff, a history lover, and a passionate traveler. I love bringing these interests into my lessons to provide a rich cultural experience for my students. I offer personalized learning plans tailored to your needs, and learning style.

This review is long overdue, but I felt the need to recommend Charles to prospective French students. He is truly the BEST French teacher on Verbling! I began taking lessons with him during the pandemic (2020) and I absolutely love his teaching style! He follows the Alliance Française method, which in my opinion is the gold standard when it comes to learning the French language. The Alliance Française is a global organization, recognized by the French government, that has been promoting the French language and culture for years. Teachers certified by the Alliance Française follow a strict curriculum that enables students to progress from beginner to an advanced fluency level. My goal is to eventually reach B2 and pass the DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française). I honestly believe Charles will help me get there. I've had a few French teachers in the past and none of them compare to Charles. He will teach you how to speak, read, and write in French from day one! He is extremely patient, helpful, organized, smart, kind, and funny. I like that he uses Google Classroom, assigns homework, and exams, to make sure you are progressing in French. Since Charles is originally from Normandie, FR, he is very knowledgeable about France. Not only am I learning a new language, but he is teaching me so much about French culture, music, food, education, history, etc. We learn languages to connect with people, and to do that we must understand their society. He is so friendly and will happily answer any of your questions regarding the Francophone culture. I can tell he is super proud of his heritage. It should also be mentioned that Charles is completely trilingual, he is fluent in French, Spanish, and English. I LOVE this because it makes it so much easier for me to understand French concepts when they're explained in Spanish (my native language). I'm able to have actual French conversations thanks to him! I'm so excited to continue learning with Charles! Merci pour tout ! :)

Charles is very friendly and patient in conducting the lessons. There is always a conversation about our daily activity related to the topic we have learned for the first few minutes of every class. All materials are well-prepared on Google Classroom, including exam after completing 2 units (this is optional, but I feel that it is a good practice to make myself revise). Charles encourages me to speak & listen French throughout the lesson. He will try to say the word in English when I really don't get his explanation in French, which I find really useful to improve my listening comprehension. Highly recommend him for you to learn French with him!
