I offer:
1. Test Preparation (telc, Goethe, TestDAF, fide, SDS (completed training for TestDAF, examiner for telc)) !
2. Interview Preparation & Business - certified for Business English (I can help with Business German) / Job-coach !
3. Medical / Medizin - telc certified for doctors !
Additionally, I offer pronunciation classes with targeted exercises to get you to a native-like pronunciation (a topic often neglected).
My native tongue is German. I speak accent-free Standard German and I am fluent in English as well.
My background is linguistics (Master of Arts) with many years of language teaching experience and an understanding of the structure of languages. In my final thesis I explored how cultural differences are manifested in languages and how they are mistakingly carried into target languages by learners.
I have worked as a language teacher on almost all levels (except with toddlers and children). I have taught groups and individuals at university and school level as well as in business environments. Many of my current clients are from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Furthermore, I love languages and constantly try new methods for my own language learning to put me in the shoes of the learner.

Warmly recommended - Manuel helped me succeed in getting my dream job!
I started taking courses with Manuel in preparation of a job interview in Germany. Although my German knowledge was quite elementary and rusty at the start, Manuel quickly tailored his lessons to my needs and interests. We did a ton of practice job interviews, to which Manuel always linked the necessary vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation exercises. Additionally, Manuel gave great advice not only on the German language aspects of the interview, but also what to focus on content-wise in my interview responses.
What I greatly appreciated, was that Manuel took the time to understand the job description of the job I was applying for, and tailored the course materials to this job description as well as my personal interests. These materials were immensely helpful to my own understanding of the German culture, its politics and its diplomacy, which were an added benefit for my interview in the diplomatic sector. In the end I was able to get the job I was applying for, as the cherry on top of the cake.
Look no further for a German teacher. Manuel is professional, kind, and truly interested in his students. He will help you improve your German quickly, by making sure there is a good balance between conversations, grammar exercises, and cultural insights. Don’t think twice, this is the German teacher you’ve been looking for 🙂 A real talent.
What makes Manuel so special is a combination of being super-professional with being relaxed and attentive. He’s one of those teachers who will make you feel super comfortable, but will also challenge you at the same time.
Always prepared with great materials, interesting conversation topics, a sense of humor, and tons of patience, Manuel manages to fit the lessons to my needs, and also find a good balance between speech, reading, writing, listening, grammar, and vocabulary.

Highly recommended. Manuel has remarkable professional and personal skills towards teaching. Well prepared and dynamic classes oriented to the student's needs. Deep knowledge of the language and he always has good examples. Know-how on keeping up the student's motivation.
