About Me
I was born in Japan and studied in Canada and USA.
When I was studying music in LA, I learned Brazilian music and a couple of years later I went to Brazil and met my husband.
I didn't know how to speak Portuguese at that time, I only knew how to sing in Portuguese, but from the very first day of Brazil I learned how to have fun and communicate with people without knowing much of the theory and vocabulary. It was just like how people learn jazz. There's a theory behind, but the most importantly we should feel and improvise. And to understand the theory, you first should listen, listen and listen.
So my learning and teaching method can be a little unique. It's not like the traditional way that we all know, which you read, write, and listen to the explanations, instead, I want you to feel it.
It's important to study and understand the grammar and try to memorize as much vocabularies as you can, but you can't forget to have fun, and you can't memorize things by just reading and thinking logically.
When you see, listen, smell, touch or feel, in another word when you use your five senses, it's much easier to memorize things.
I want to help you to find a better way of learning and having fun with Japanese!
Even if you're a very beginner, I start teaching how to 'speak' if your goal is to speak Japanese. And if you already know the basics, I want to have more conversation with you in Japanese, and you tell me what your goal is, and what you want to learn in my lesson.
If you're not sure and you just want to improve your conversation skill, I’ll measure you level instantly and customize your lesson. And of course, I can teach you Japanese grammar, too.
I want you to have fun learning Japanese, and I know that it’s very important that you feel comfortable and motivated in your lesson, so selecting your teacher would be the first step.
I try my best to make the lessons fun as much as possible, so that you’ll be able to continue your learning journey happily and constantly.
I taught Japanese in Brazil and helped several students to pass the MEXT(Scholarship program) and JLPT.
If you want to focus on reading and writing, that's also wonderful. I can help with that, too!!
It is YOUR lesson, not mine. So your satisfaction is the most important thing for me.
I hope to see you in my lesson soon!

My trial lessons
You're going to introduce yourself in Japanese, and I have a prepared PDF to help you to do so.
For someone who already knows speaking Japanese, this is going to be a good chance for you to practice speaking.
Depending on your level and the time that we have, I'll choose some material and demonstrate how my lesson is going to be.
You can bring what you want to do in this trial lesson, or you can just come to see who I am and how my lesson is going to be.
No pressure, no requirement!
