A great first full lesson! Eleni is an attentive teacher. She chose a lesson plan with exercises focusing on "to be" in the present, and occupations, followed by some free discussion (especially important since I am focusing on conversation practice). There was a good mix of the familiar and new. I feel challenged and encouraged with Eleni, and I do recommend her to you. I speak from the perspective of a beginning Greek language student, but I have no doubt she would be a great teacher for any level. Ευχαριστώ πολύ, Ελένη!!

Ελένη was very well prepared with a specific lesson plan, which started with a test of basic pronunciation (i.e., not going over things I was already familiar with), and she made recommendations regarding the websites and other resources I'd found. She walked me through the lesson plan very well, allowing me to practice basic phrases. She also recommended a couple of specific sites for reading (silently and out loud) at my level. It was a wonderful first lesson. I felt very discouraged leading up to the lesson because I was studying every day on my own, but I felt I didn't have much guidance and the number of resources I had was overwhelming. I would like to continue with lessons and gain confidence.
