Hello everyone! I am Lucas. Nice to meet you!
I studied and tought linguistics and literature at university and travelled South-America for 3 years, doing volunteer work and teaching here on Verbling.
My teaching style is focused on conversation, based on the newest methods of functional linguistics.
We will have funny and productive hours, finding and practicing the language tools you need for your communication goals!
I want to help you to improve your german skills and share my personal perspective on modern german culture to make you curious and excited about learning german.
It is essential that you enjoy the lessons and that they are like physical training: guided and focussed progress. And you will feel more comfortable to have conversations in German this way.

My trial lessons
The 30 min trial lesson has the purpose to get to know each other a little bit and show you how i work here on verbling with all the features and possibilities of our course. We can talk about learning stategies, material, practice the german conversation skills you already have or i can give you an introduction into german language with some interesting facts or useful first expressions.

Lucas is a really nice teacher, I have only had two lessons with him and I feel I've learnt a lot and got a general overview of what my learning process will be like. I am super happy because I think I have never had so much fun in a language lesson, he is really patient (I am a beginner) and I think he also really good for speaking lessons as he is able to "go with the flow" and talk about any topic with him. Finally I would say he is such a motivational teacher as you feel valued when you do something well and supported by him when learning.

Lucas is a really fun teacher and always puts up a great conversation! Besides that, he knows the German language well and can always answer my questions and explain how the grammar works.
Lucas has also good knowledge of the differences between what's being used today in Germany(spoken German) and the formal language.
