About Me
Hi! My name is Akira and I am a TEFL-accredited and qualified instructor. My specialty includes conversational English and grammar. I have three medical degrees and am currently completing an internship with the South African government. If this intrigues you, we’re bound to have some highly stimulating conversations!
My teaching style is very interactive and I feel that the best way to learn a new language is by integrating it into your daily conversation. My sessions are flexible and will be customized to suit your abilities, pace, and interests.
I enjoy teaching students of various age groups. I have privately tutored students in primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of study in my beautiful and multicultural country, South Africa. I have also been an Academic Mentor, Peer Wellness Mentor, Anatomy Demonstrator, and Student Body Chairperson at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (UKZN). These positions have enabled me to assist students academically and emotionally, thus allowing me to cater to students holistically.
