Symbol of Thailand....Temples.
Hello everyone, welcome to my first article. ^__^
I would like to share easy words that you would probably hear every day in Thailand.
As you know most of Thais are Buddhists, so if you travel to Thailand you will always see temples.
I am going to tell these English words in Thai......are you ready? Let's go.
>> Temple in Thai is Wat. ( วัด )
>> Pavilion at a temple in Thai is Saa La Wat. ( ศาลาวัด )
>> Pagoda in Thai is J D (easy as this^_^) ( เจดีย์ )
>> Monk in Thai is Phra Soong. ( พระสงฆ์ )
>> Nun in Thai is Mae Shee. ( แม่ชี )
>> Make merit in Thai is Taam Boon. ( ทำบุญ )
* Make / Do in Thai mostly means Taam. ( ทำ )
Lastly, the picture above is one of the most popular, beautiful and attractive temples in Northeast of Thailand or Isaan region. It's called " Wat Phra That Phanom ", located in That Phanom district, Nakhon Phanom province. I hope the article is useful and if you have any questions, you can leave your message to me anytime. Thank you.^__^
