About Me
Do you need help with medical English?
Are you applying for residency in an English-speaking country?
Preparing for OET? (tests for doctors who want a residency in the USA, or for nurses, doctors, or other medical professionals who want to work in Australia)
Are you a nurse who wants help with your English?
Do you working for a medical company, such as in pharmaceuticals or medical equipment, and need to improve your English?
Do you need help writing and editing medical or business documents–CVs, resumes, personal statements, or journal articles?
I can help!
Do you want to reduce your accent, and sound more native? I have unique methods and and English-based phonetics system. It's a lot of work, but many of my students enjoy it.
I’m a Registered Nurse from the United States, and I’ve been helping doctors, nurses, medical engineering professionals, as well as all kinds of IT and business learners. I’ve worked in mental hospitals, medical hospitals, nursing home care, with drug and alcohol treatment, been a nursing manager, nursing teacher (especially of mental health nursing and health care law)–and owned a construction business. I have master's (business/IT) and nursing degrees from the Johns Hopkins University, and TEFL certification. I help with medical vocabulary, social and cultural issues, accent reduction, note writing, handoff reports, document editing, CVs and resumes, and more.
We can do role-playing for doctor-patient or nurse-patient encounters, or for job interviews; you can read on my shared screen for vocabulary and pronunciation, go over medical or general words, or look at grammar. I can edit your notes, email, documents, and articles. Book a lesson or send a message to improve your English today!
After working in the US state of Maryland (near Washington, D.C.) and Florida, I moved to Asia (Bangkok, Thailand) in 2018., and to New York City in July, 2024. I have visited over 50 countries and all 50 United States. Besides teaching, I am working in New York as a psychiatric nurse.
If you do not see a time slot you want, please ask. I have other times available during the week.
