About Me
Hi, I'm Angela, and I've been teaching English to students online from all over the world for more than 3 years. I'm certified to work with adult learners who want to improve their English pronunciation, comprehension, vocabulary, and speaking flow.
If you need help feeling confident in learning and speaking English, let me help!
As your teacher, I will create a detailed lesson plan based on your specific language learning needs. Based on this, we will work together during each scheduled class to master a specific language skill or point. My lessons will be structured to make sure our time together is productive. I like to include a variety of activities that help engage your speaking, listening, and reading skills. You can also expect lesson materials to include structured exercises and tasks from traditional language learning books, my own designed tasks, and authentic sources from real life! No lesson will be wasted with me, as long as you put in the work!
When we work together, you are the driver. You will get the most speaking time during the lesson (as long as you are comfortable), and I will challenge you and hold your hand when you're struggling. You will feel comfortable enough to make mistakes so that we can pinpoint weakness areas and work to improve them. I will also correct you either during the lesson or after the lesson (or both), depending on your desire.
If you'd like to work on your English writing skills for school and work, I will also help! I have taught business English and ESL for the workplace, and can help you write better emails, feel confident in a presentation, and write reports at work with ease! And if you need to take an exam like the IELTS, I have the experience to guide you through the essay portion of the test.
Overall, I am your language partner, here to guide you and give you a glimpse into English from a native speaker, as well as American culture.
Besides English, I am fluent in Spanish and understand and speak French at an intermediate level. I also can speak and understand Arabic at a high beginner level.
