About Me
Bonjour! I am Lauren, a 30-year-old French teacher born in the marvelous city of Bordeaux. I love teaching and learning new languages and I am fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
Being a language learner (Turkish and Italian) myself, I know how challenging it can be to stay motivated! That's why I take every lesson I give as an opportunity to become a better teacher.
⚠️ Right now I'm interested in working with adults of all levels. (from beginner to advanced // A1-C2). I don't teach kids!

In Bordeaux, we have a very neutral French accent, which means I am easy to understand and I will help you achieve the "parfaite" pronunciation. I design my own presentations for the lessons and I will share with you exclusive lists of French movies, books, series, and podcasts. So if you want to know why we love wine so much or to learn some funny slang, start learning with me!
I have been working with all types of students: CEOs, jobseekers, athletes, lawyers etc. Whatever your level is, my method remains the same: cultivate your curiosity and your desire to learn. I build my lessons according to your tastes to speed up your learning process and make it easy and fun (even for grammar). Travels, politics, culture, or science, I am curious about every topic and I always try to tie the content of my lessons to what is going on in the world. This way, you won't only learn a language, but you will also expand your general knowledge.
I have visited more than 25 countries and worked in France, Spain, Ecuador, Thailand and Turkey. Through my experiences in the French diplomatic corps, I have learned to adapt to people from very different backgrounds. Whether you want to sound like a true Parisian when ordering a coffee or start a business in Senegal, I will do everything I can to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
I hold a Master's degree in International affairs and Economics from Sciences Po Bordeaux. Throughout my career, I had to pass highly selective exams and job interviews. I can provide you with excellent tips to write an impressive cover letter in French, to prepare you for exams, or to get you ready for an interview. I am also available for document correction (proofreading, translation, and copy-writing) and voice-over.

I highly recommend Lauren as a French teacher. I have been taking French lessons with her for the past few months and I have been very impressed with her teaching style and her dedication to her students.
Lauren has a very structured approach to teaching French, but she is also very flexible and accommodating to the individual needs of her students. She understands that everyone learns at a different pace and she is always willing to go back over material that students may not have fully grasped. She also creates a very fun and playful atmosphere in her lessons, which makes learning French enjoyable.
Lauren is a very kind and patient teacher. She is also very knowledgeable about French culture and history, which she often integrates into her lessons.
In addition to being a great teacher, Lauren is also a very interesting person, smart and intelligent. We often have stimulating conversations about a variety of topics, including French literature, art, and current events. I really enjoyed my first lesson with Lauren, the hour flew by. I appreciate that we mostly communicated in French and that she was very patient and fun. Lauren also provided some good tools and resources to use in between sessions. I'm looking forward to more lessons and seeing how I progress in the next few weeks.
