About Me
Hello, My name is Rose. I am a Native English Tutor with dual citizenship, British and South African. I love travelling around the world and meeting new people I can exchange cultures with. I enjoy learning about different countries and customs while having casual conversations. Come join me in class and share your life experiences with me. I am eager to help you reach your language goals.
My teaching style:
I’m a great listener, very adaptable and enthusiastic. I have a gentle but driven nature and I'm a very patient person. I like to adapt my teaching approach according to what my students' goals are. I try to add a personal touch to the English Lessons I teach to suit my students' language needs and interests. Building good Teacher/Student relationships whilst having fun in the process is what I aim for. I like using a variety of tools and methods to engage all the skills my students will need to learn English effectively. I enjoy mixing things up to keep my students on their toes and to ensure interesting lessons. I believe that encouraging students to talk as much as they want during class is the best way to get them comfortable and confident in conversing in English. Having fun is also a very important aspect when learning new things, so I will always try and teach fun interactive lessons.
My education:
I studied through Cambridge International Distance Education. I completed my HIGCSE (Higher International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and A-Levels (Advanced Levels) through Cambridge. Afterwards, I decided to get my 120 hour TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate through Bay Language Institute in South Africa.
My teaching experience:
I have been teaching English as a second language for 5 years. I have worked in international schools and institutes as well as online. I've tutored English privately to both children and adults.
I look forward to meeting you!
