About Me
I am a native French speaker, born, raised and educated in France. I have over 15 years of tutoring experience working with students of all levels and abilities, from beginners to more advanced. Whatever the objective may be - conversation, help with homework or test preparation - the private one-on-one setting offers a stress free working environment to help students gain confidence. I am dedicated, flexible and thorough. My approach is focused on the unique needs and objectives of the student. I propose a tailored, personal plan - which can be adapted - to fit the skill level and pace of learning of each student thus ensuring that the lesson will be enjoyable and fruitful. I will always respond to emergency situations as I find great pleasure in seeing my students succeed. I enjoy very much having the opportunity to help and motivate others to further improve their knowledge of my native language and culture.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English from the Université Catholique de l'Ouest in Angers, France and a diploma in written and oral translation from the British Institute In Paris, University of London.

You can tell that Marie is a very experienced teacher. With regards to accent improvement, she is very good at explaining why certain things are pronounced a certain way. She is also very good at explaining the minor nuances in grammar rules and is always prepared with many exercises.

We've been working with Marie a bit over a month and I feel that my knowledge of French has already improved immensely. She is very thorough, always well prepared for the lesson and spends lot of time correcting my homework! I highly recommend her as a French teacher!
