About Me
Guten Tag,
my name is Michalis, or Mike for short, and I am 32 years old. I am half German, half Cypriot, raised in Cyprus and have been a private German teacher for the past 3 years, as a native speaker and holder of the C2 Certificate in German. Initially I studied to be an engineer but soon after realised that I would rather teach Languages as I am very keen on learning foreign languages myself, and love passing on knowledge.
Many of my students attend the examinations of the Goethe Institute and have achieved great results in A1, A2, B1, B2 and TestDaF exams.
I give great emphasis in teaching the basics of the language, because that makes the more advanced chapters and grammar much easier. My goal is to make the lessons fun and personal, and adjust the teaching to each individual student's needs and capabilities.
Furthermore I am a certified and qualified Rock Climbing Instructor, a job which combines my hobby and love for the great outdoors, and also involves passing on knowledge.
I hope that I will have the chance to successfully teach anyone who is interested in learning German.

I'm impressed with how down to Earth Mister Michalis is. His teaching style is very personalized and he definitely wants to make sure you have your foundations for German solid. I love that he emphasized studying outside of lessons is something that is necessary. Absolutely, I 100% agree. I look forward to many more lessons and pointers. Definitely recommend 10/10 :)

Michalis-Mike is a great teacher. Very friendly, patient and adjusts his lessons to your needs. My lessons have been a mix of speaking practice, reading exercises and Grammer and I am very happy with them. Looking forward to improving my German !
