About Me
Hi! I am a native Dane with a Master's degree in Danish from the University of Southern Denmark. I've worked as a Danish teacher since 2018 and I am trained in second-language learning and acquisition from Copenhagen University.
I acquired my love for Danish as well as Classical languages from my paternal grandmother, who was a Danish and History teacher for many years. With her, I developed a keen interest in teaching, and when I was about to finish Upper Secondary School, I knew that I wanted to do a Master's in Danish literature and Latin language.
At some times during my university studies, I had to study Latin on my own because very few people chose that minor. I often felt stuck and thought about quitting, but I tried to find the patience and I explored different methods in order to learn. As a person, I am very patient, and it is important for me that you feel comfortable showing me your difficulties and giving your opinion.
Before teaching Danish online, I worked as a teaching assistant in an undergraduate introductory course in Danish language, culture, and history as part of an internship at Lund University. I have also worked for different high schools.
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
PD: I can teach groups of two for the same price. This is useful if, for instance, you have a family member who also wants to learn Danish.

Sarah is brilliant at what she does. Due to my busy work schedule, it can be hard to get a lesson in for a few weeks but she is always able to pick up from where the last lesson ended. I keep my Danish ticking over through homework between lessons but Sarah always keeps the lessons fun and engaging and is able to go from what you know and are interested in.

I like learning Danish with Sarah very much. She is kind, helpful and supportive. Learning with her is fun and relaxing. It is like having a conversation with a Danish friend who is also guiding you in learning a new language.
