Hello! My name is Rolanda and I am a native English speaker from California and a certified TEFL teacher currently living in Spain. I have over 11 years experience teaching ESL, Business English, exam preparation (First, Advanced, IELTS, PET, KET, BEC) to kids and adults. I also specialize in business coaching, conversation and proofreading.

In your first trial lesson, we can discuss your specific needs and goals. I will ask you some general questions in order for me to ascertain your skills and allow me get an impression of your current English level. I will target the weak points that exist in your fluency so we can focus on these and make the most effective use of our lessons. My approach to teaching focuses mainly on conversation, as this is the best way to obtain the full grasp of the language. Conversation, combined with reading, listening and grammar are the best tools for learning. We will create a lesson plan that is uniquely designed to help you overcome any weak areas.
One of my specialties also includes helping students prepare for English proficiency exams. These highly regarded and sometimes difficult exams require skill and a broad knowledge of the topic, both of which I possess and can assist you in reaching your goals.
I also excel at business coaching, which involves speech and presentation preparation and other aspects related to the business world. I can assist with report writing, proofreading/editing and business English conversation and idioms.
I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic tutor who has experience in teaching nationalities from all over the globe, young and old, all with varying levels of English.

Rolanda is an excellent teacher who explains things clearly, and conversations with her flow naturally. Her teaching materials are not only interesting but also very practical, focusing on improving real-world English speaking skills. On top of that, she has a wonderful sense of humor, making the learning process both enjoyable and effective. I highly recommend her!
