5 Email phrases to avoid

It can be frustrating when we don’t receive emails as soon as we need. Most people send a follow up email letting their colleague know they are (im)patiently waiting. However, it can often come across as annoying or at worst, passive aggressive. According to a survey in 2018, Adobe identified the top 5 most annoying email phrases. You might think twice about using the following!
1. “Not sure if you saw my last email…” 2. “Per my last email/ our conversation” 3. “Any update on this?” 4. “Sorry for the double email” 5. “As previously stated/ mentioned”
Guilty!? Instead, try simply stating your point again without any passive aggressive language. You can repeat your question without mentioning that you have already sent or shared the information. Try not to leave hints of your frustration that they might not have looked or responded to your email. Emphasising that you are reminding people of something will only create a sour atmosphere. It certainly won’t speed up a response and may sound passive aggressive. Adding extra information can soften your repeated request and give the recipient a reason to reply.

😄 Well done on taking the first step! 💪🏼 Are you a professional, or need English for work, and despite your level still have difficulty expressing yourself clearly? Do you often have a hard time in meetings when you can’t understand others or they can’t understand you? Then, you’re in the right place. You might feel frustrated with not being able to reach a level no matter how much time you spend studying. Perhaps the thought of dealing with telephone calls, interviews, meetings, or presentations in English makes you anxious; you’re in the right place! 🙌🏼 Whether your dream is a promotion, travel, or just feeling more satisfied with your work life, English is what is keeping you from this. Maybe your usual methods such as watching movies or having simple conversations don’t benefit your skills like they used to. Rest assured, you are not the first! You are here because you need something more. With my help, your colleagues can understand you easily and clearly when you speak in Eng...
