My name is Franziska and I teach German for Business and Office Communication.
My class is for you if you already have a B1 level of the German language or higher, and you would like to use it in your job.
In our class, we will cover work-related topics, write professional emails, practice phone calls and especially focus on your conversation skills.
We will also practice grammar and improve your pronunciation by talking about several different topics that you're interested in and using so-called "drills" (practice of specific language components by repeating them over and over when speaking).
I studied German, English and Spanish at the university in Cologne, Germany, and I’ve been teaching German as a foreign language since 2011. I have taught in language schools, online and in companies. I'm a German native and I've lived near Cape Town, South Africa since 2002, teaching the local and foreign community in my mother tongue. I’ve presented my own German show at Radio Helderberg 93.6fm until 2014, and I still do voice recordings for the radio station and other clients on an ad-hoc basis.
I’ve been passionate about languages all my life and studied English, French, Spanish, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa at university. I am a certified TestDaF and telc examiner. I specialise in test preparation (Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, telc, ÖSD, fide, etc.).
I offer both general German language lessons and specific courses of grammar, conversation, writing, test preparation and interview preparation. I am a fulltime professional teacher for German as a foreign language for over 7 years and also have a background in teaching and design.
